Lankayan Beach Resort Malaysia

Lankayan Island is a tiny jewel-shaped island located on the Sulu Seas of the North-Eastern coast of Sabah in Malaysia. ,. This tiny island is covered by thick tropical jungle that is surrounded by smooth, white sand – the perfect getaway. The resort was built in 1997 and since then tourists have slowly been discovering the serenity and tranquility of this remote peace of paradise, Lankayan offers a fantastic variety of macro marine life, a muck-diving arena that rivals both Mabul and Kapalai Island.

Lankayan Island is a small island fully covered with tropical vegetation, featuring tall casuarina trees and the ubiquitous pandan screwpine. The Langkayan Island Dive Resort has sixteen attractive wooden chalets with beach fronts and the common dining area extends to a sundeck jutting out to the beach. This is one of the best spots for whale shark sightings. During the day you can witness black-tip sharks swimming about by the beach. At night, hawksbill and green turtles may be spotted coming to shore. It's wreck hosts many different species of fish from small glassfish, harlequin ghost pipefish, painted frogfish to giant grouper and marbled stingrays.
